On The Beach

Last weekend it was incredibly hot, so hot we couldn't sleep at night. So on Saturday we went to the beach with a few of our friends from church. It was A.J.'s first time at the beach, and it was a lot of fun.

 Here is Amanda after she has eaten a bunch of sand. She was very intrigued by it at first, and a bit cautious. But once she stuck her hand in it, she had to put it in her mouth. She actually seemed to like it, because she kept putting it into her mouth like it was food. We tried to stop her but one can only do so much.

 The other kids had loads of fun digging in the sand and carrying water in buckets.

 We lunched on the beach and enjoyed the beautiful weather. It was the first time I have ever been to a Bay Area beach when it wasn't unbearably windy.

Rocking Chair

The rocking chair is a Crawford antique. Amanda is finally old enough to enjoy it.

Ice Cream Party

Last weekend, we celebrated ten years as a household by hosting an ice cream social / open house. We have only been there for four of the ten years. Amanda had a great time playing w/all the young kids and enjoyed Michelle's undivided attention.

Snuggling

Amanda started to snuggle with us recently. She would lie on my chest or climb into my lap to lie there for a few seconds. It is very sweet.

Playing in the Kitchen

Amanda loves to get into every cabinet and drawer in the kitchen. She also babbles quite a bit.
