I got to watch Lia Waldman (pictured on the right) this past Monday. Lia, who is 15 months old, loves to play with Amanda (literally - she likes to pat and poke her). At the end of the day, I was exhausted and had to called for a junior assistant Madeleine (pictured in the middle) for help.

Amanda Jo's Big Thanksgiving Trip

We took our first big car trip with A.J. for Thanksgiving weekend. We drove down to Bakersfield for Thanksgiving dinner with Grandpa and Grams Crawford, and A.J. met her Uncle Doug and Aunt Julie for the first time.

Then it was down to Ventura to see Grandma Crawford, and then on to Torrance for Ama Kuo and a bunch of Clare's family. Everyone was smitten with Amanda's winsome smiles.

Earlier this week, I had lunch with Auntie Mimi who is expecting my cousin in late March 2008.

Heads Up

Amanda Jo is getting much stronger. She can control her head better now, and even lift it up a bit if you lay her on her tummy. She's also smiling a lot more now, but she cries a lot more too.

Dogpile

This is what the kids at Mi Casa (name of our building and our three households, for those who don't know) do best - play. At the bottom is Madeleine, Isaac, Lucy, Theo, then Amanda herself. Isaac's neck appears to be quite contorted and Amanda doesn't seem to enjoy the dogpile.

Did you know that if you Google "Amanda Jo Crawford" this blog is number one? Crazy.

At my job, we just rolled out Rollick, which is a website for leisure activities, like cooking or tennis. Check it out. One main idea of the site is that it will eventually be the place to go for finding instructors, schools, and so on for whatever you are interested in.

Hanging Out At the Mall

This past Saturday, I hung out with Mommy and Auntie Annie at the Mall. It was fun to see all the new sights. Auntie Annie sat on the glider and held me while Mommy shopped for stuff at the store.

Since discovering my hands, I have been licking and sucking my fingers whenever I can. Oh, and Daddy thinks it's real funny to prop me up with pillows.

First On-Camera Smile

Amanda started to sport her big smiles in the last couple of weeks. However, it was impossible to capture on camera since she likes to stare at the black shiny thing in her face. But with some help from A-ma (Clare's Mom), we were able to distract her enough to get this big smile.

Visit from Grandma

Grandma (Matt's Mom) visited me for the first time. I think I won her over with my adorable smiles. For some reason, all my grandmothers wanted to take me home with them. So if I go missing, you should look for me in Ventura, Bakersfield or Torrance.

What Have I Been Doing?

Here are some highlights of what I have been doing for the last two months: sleep, cry, make funny faces, tummy time, bathe and visit from Grandpa and Gram.

Dinner at burger joint

I went out for dinner for the first time last night at Taylor's Refresher with my parents and Uncle Tim and Auntie Deborah. But I did not get to eat anything and I had to poo in the middle of it.

Happy Two Months Birthday!

Last night, at the Thursday night book study, she was very moved by the discussion of the group. When it came time to pray, she couldn't help but lift up smiles and coos to God the whole time. As a birthday present for her parents, Amanda slept from 10:00pm to 6:45am this morning. Hooray for sleep! But mom did wake up this morning with pain from the engorgement.
